April 5th Teaser

What the heck are these pictures all about? Contrary to what you might think, it has nothing to do with the Elliot Spitzer case, although there is a shady lawyer involved. (AKA Marvin Sweinstein)

It's the big tease I alluded to last month, but I never posted up the pictures that I promised. Connecticut residents, tune into My9 on SATURDAY morning, April 5th at 9 AM. All will be revealed.

Skating On Thin Ice

Literally.

Today was a great session in lovely Milford. Yes, the historic town on the Sound was host to a mid-morning skate session for the COMA crew. (Connecticut Old Man Association) And I almost missed it! Fortunately, I checked the board around 10 AM, got word of the session, and hopped on I-95.

Well, as you can see, the snake run emptied into a snow-covered bowl. Complete with a super-hard, super-slick layer of ice. The picture below pretty much sums it all up. It's testament to the never give up, never give spirit of the New England skateboarder.

But a little ice didn't stop these over-the-hill rippers from completing grinds, ollies and sweepers.

I've been wearing these same shorts ^^ all winter when I skate. I just throw them in my gear bag. They're disgusting.

Our international contingent, Ben, was in town for the weekend. Throwing down some ollies and 50/50 grinds.

I'm secretly a big fan of the Milford Skatepark. Although I really don't have any lines down on it yet, I always have fun. It's got a weird "Future Primitive", empty pool vibe, especially on a day like today.

Anyways, another good session. See you at the next one! Spring has got to be right around the corner, and Scalzi will be open once again.
